I got scammed too

What is being posted here is true. I initially started renting with Sixt because they have nicer cars on average, and we always were assigned to Sixt from other apps (probably because they weren't as busy as the major car rental agencies.) We returned our car after a short rental in SFO. When we went to check out, the checkout person told us to ignore the minimal scratches noted on examination, as only scratches "down to primer" were reportable. I still usually take photos, and the photos show nothing. When I returned, the person checking in the car looked at the car, and signed off on my receipt "no damages noted". Over a month later, we got a bill/notice from Sixt saying that there were three "down to primer" long scratches on car. They attached photos that showed nothing (except an employee finger pointing to a normal paint job." The explanation stated that these issues were found after dust/dirt had been removed from the car. (There was no dust or dirt........ highway driving only on beautiful days.) It took lawsuit threats and several hours of research/communications to finally have them drop the claims. In retrospect, I now remember that I have had problems with SEVERAL of the beautiful cars assigned to me: leaking tires/no gas in tank at check-out/ long waits for car despite prebooking. This all adds up to what employees are now stating. Sixt has already loss one class action suit for this behavior, and another is now mounting. DO NOT RENT FROM SIXT. I have had several hassles with them, and the latest demand for payment for damages not present on the car was the last straw.
